Pigs in a blanket!

Original post by Suzannebride

Okay, quick poll. Pigs in a blanket (or shall I say frankfurters en croute): Tacky or tasty?

I think they taste awesome! As for it being 'tacky,' again everything depends on how it's done. I think that a lot of times, it's really fun to see something 'casual' like pigs in a blanket at a formal affair. If I remember correctly, I think a few celebrities, including Adam Sandler, served mini cheeseburgers as hors d'oeurves. And these are people with top-notch wedding planners telling them right from wrong. I think it's cool.

Love them! They are definitely on my menu!

BTW--my mom made them yesterday as part of the hot antipasto for our Easter dinner!

YUMMY!!!!

I'm jealous! I haven't had pigs in a blanket in almost a year! They're greasy goodness

Wish I didn't eat them! I didn't go on the scale today, but I'm convinced that I gained back some of the 5.6 lbs I lost last week due to eating about a dozen of those little piggies!!!

Goldi- that is FUNNY!

Glad most people agree that they are a NECESSITY! I simply must have it added to my menu...if I can ever pick a place.

Oh, and JennieSunshine, I think I read somewhere about mini grilled cheese which also sounded great and out of the ordinary.

I think a few unexpected items will be welcome by most guests.

I think they're both!

We had a formal wedding and had them as a passed-around appetizer. Most people (DH and me included) love them.

I don't eat them, but I know most people like them. Those of you still looking - Stewart Manor Country Club told me they serve them!

You have to understand that I will be shunned from FH's social circle indefinitely if we don't have them. he is the last of his crew to get married so we may have to have DOUBLE!!! BRING ON THE LITTLE WEINERS!!!!!
