Re: Pilates...
octobergirl- they offer them at NYSC, that is where I took it last night. That is the gym I belong too, it is convienient since they are all over the city and I can get my workouts in the afternoon if I am feeling up to it. Do you belong to a gym that gives classes? they might offer them.

Re: Pilates...
MarcellaBella is right, Yoga is a tad boring, but I love it, it relaxes me. I usually work out first then end with a class. But after last night, Pilates is my new thing!!

Re: Pilates...
Kim, I belong to Bally's. They had it at the one I go to, but not enough people were showing up, so they stopped offering it.

Re: Pilates...
I've been looking for a Pilates class, too. But I live in Patchogue right now, and soon will be living near Yonkers, so I can't really sign up for anything long term, like a gym. I saw the infomercial two nights ago. Looks great but I would also like to actually get OUT of the house and take a class. I work at home, so I need to get OUT as much as I can.

Re: Pilates...
Hmmm...I know there are a few places out on Long Island - I think one in Pt Washington and one in Huntington. There are a ton in NYC. You can do mat classes at most gyms but I prefer the machine sessions (the reformer). I remember a while back NYSC offer the reformer classes. Otherwise check out Power Pilates, Sal Anthony's movement salon, or do a google serach.
