Does anyone do this type of workout? I took my first pilates class last night and it was incredible! I usually do yoga, but I got to the gym too late, so I jumped into a pilates class.
Ladies, I have been working out for a pretty long time, and I am in pretty good shape. If I could explain to you the pain I am in today.......
Amazing workout! I highly recommend.

Re: Pilates...
I workout regularly but have never done yoga. Do you think pilates would be too hard?

Re: Pilates...
I've been doing winsor pilates at home and I love it!!! I usually can't commit to any type of workout for too long because I'm such a lazy a55 but I haven't missed a week in over a month. And my stomach is really starting to get some definition.

No, it's nothing like Yoga. You totally should try it! It is all about stretching and lengthening your muscles. It didn't even feel like a work-out while I was in there. I woke up this morning and could not believe how I felt! I love knowing I got a good workout!

Re: Pilates...
eroxgirl- I have seen the infomercial for winsor pilates a million times and always wanted to buy it. I just can't see myself doing it at home. Did you get the tapes through the infomercial or in a store?

I started doing them this past week and I feel taller. It really helps with your posture. I love it. I have the Winsor Pilates tapes.

Re: Pilates...
I got them online because of the infomercial and plus a lot of girls on the slimdown board recommended them. I decided to do the home thing because I know that I can't commit to a gym - when I leave my office I just want to go HOME! so I get to it at least once a week (on a lazy week) and more often on the non-lazy weeks, lol!

Re: Pilates...
I don't remember exactly but here's a link I found - its through the Gunthy-Renker (sp?) company, I think.
Does it help you lose weight or just tone what you have??

Re: Pilates...
I cannot even tell you how Pilates how changed the shape of my body. I have always been fit but had a bit of a bulkier body from years of gymnastics. I have literally dropped two sizes and my arms and legs are SO defined and much slimmer/thinner. None of my friends can believe its all from doing pilates once a week for the past year. I do an hour of the reformer (the machine) with an insructor and I love it!
I am about to kick it up to 2x a week since I have two months to the wedding. Oh, and my instructor says those Windsor tapes are great.
