Re: pionis
A florist can get just about anything any time of the year, the issue is how much off-season flowers cost!
Do you mean peonies?

Re: pionis
You can get peonies in November, they will just cost you a lot more than an in season flower.
It would make the difference between a $85 bridesmaid bo-k of in season flowers to what could be a $155 bo-k of out of season flowers. It's all a matter of how much you want to spend.

Re: pionis
Peonies are a spring/summer flower, so you will get them for the best price during their peak season. Sometimes you can get flowers that are out of season, but they must be flown in from other states or countries, which makes them very expensive and not as beautiful because they are not in their 'prime' growing season. FYI, my bo-k is all peonies...guess how much....$225! So that should give you an estimate on how much more you would have to pay for them in Nov...

Re: pionis
Yeah my bo-k has lots of peonies as well and I am paying $200 in July. Most places said that even July is out of season and I was quoted $250 by a lot of places for that flower. Peonies has a short season 10 to 14 days in June after that most varieties of peonies are out of season. Florists can order it out of season but it is more $$$. Good luck!

Re: pionis
A couple of florists I went to said with the way this winter is going, peonies may be 'harder to get' even in June for my wedding. By this I just mean they will bloom sooner and earlier in the spring since it has been so much warmer this year than usual. But I still will have them in the BM bo-k. Oh boy!
