I'm trying to think of some useful place card holders and I want to do something different... any ideas? Thanks!

How about: Votives...mini pic frames....mini flower pots...mini streetlights...mini squirrels for a fall wedding... mini chairs...mini tripod thingies that artists put their paintings on (why can't I think of the name of those things? ) If I think of any more I'll post again!!

hahaha ;) easels??? those are all cute ideas!! i've been trying to think of some really out-of-the box things, but my creativity is running short!!

You can do edible chocolate place cards....I am going to do that...just not sure which ones...the cheapies, or the pricier ones.

what about bamboo shoot plants? or little bonsai trees? I once saw mini ornamental pepper trees that were SOOO cute as a place card holder they wrote the people's names on the mini terra cotta pot that came with the plant.

I really like all of those, very different! I was thinking of wine corks-- I actually found a website that I can personalize the cork with our names, wedding date, and a design, but I'm still trying to think of some other options. Thanks for the help ladies!

I personally like when the placecards are votive candles...Normally when all the guests are all at the table, they usually put their placecards towards the center right? (Get where I'm going with this...lol) Well if you were to do votive's, the placecards would not only double as a little mini 'favor' for everyone, but also as something that can add some more ambiance to the room...

I was going to use wine corks... but I was going to spray paint them silver to match my winter theme. They may not be the easiest to find in bulk. I started looking but didn't get that far into it... so IDK. But then I found this....
Under the DIY section there is a thread link for placecards. there are soooooooo many place card pics and ideas on there. they aren't all DIY either. It's a mix of everything and anything you can think of! I HIGHLY recommend checking it out!!!

I'm planning on using gourds/little pumpkins as place card holders. Making a little slit in the stem for the card. Or a place card tree with leaf place cards.
I'm kinda addicted to my fall theme, tendency to go overboard
