Place card ideas

I went to a wedding where the bride used toothpicks wrapped with a label and a pinwheel on top and placed them in small garden instead of place cards. I loved the idea but but I am getting married on the water so I want to do something w/ that theme.....any ideas

Went AMJA's album and found better close up photos of the place cards. I soooo may have to steal this! Our theme is gersber/garden and its just perfect. Fits right in with our watering can cardbox! You can get those flower die cuts at AC Moore and Micheals for anyone interested. I LOVE THIS AMJA!!!! Great job!

I didn't do the grass!! hahah I wish! The florist supplied flats of real wheat grass. I think he used 4 boxes.

I made the flowers, glued them to green wire stems, and had Michele Clark Calligraphy write them out.

AMJA, did the the florist take the grass to the WM? I want to do this but I am afraid I wont be able to on my own. I would want my florist to do this. Who assembed it all together. I just love it so much.

Sorry another ques, was there styrofoam on the bottom of the grass or soil?

the florist set the grass up, it was dirt on the bottom. They are in like square boxes. Just tell him you want 4 flats of wheat grass. yours should do it no problem. They have to go there to set up the centerpieces anyway. He didn't handle the place cards though.. I alphabetized them and gave them to the Hall with the rest of the stuff the week before. I gave them printed instruction what to do with them.
