I want to do something different, but can't seem to come up with unique ideas. Any input?

I made a foldover using lavender card sock and petal paper. I printed out the names and table numbers on the petal paper in a nice script using labels, cut out the 'labels' and taped them with double sided tape to the card stock. The paper matched out menus and programs. It was simple but added a little something exta.

My sister had chocolate bars (little rectangles) wrapped in a pretty color and then put the placecard on the wrapped chocolate. it looked nice

Im wrapping glass votive holders with paper (names & table #s printed on them). I'll put a tealight in each one and have the lit up before people enter the room.

You can use your favors as placecards too. Just include a name/table card on the favor.

My fiance is from Scotland and we are trying to have a running Scottish theme to the wedding. Instead of Table #'s we are going to have the tables designated as different cities or places in Scotland and at the particular tables will be a photo of the city and some info about what it is known for. So a place card would have the guests name and Edinbourgh (capital city).

I'm having a winter wonderland type of theme. I'm buying (or picking)pinecones, spraying them silver and with fake snow, and putting the place cards the hall supplies in them. They will surround a beautiful acrylic snowman, and I will put fake snow around his base. Good luck!

Im doing something similar to SonicStef...I have 2 1/2 x 2' pillars and they will be wrapped with a name and table #...then when they get to the table the candle holder will be wrapped in a box.

I'm using a petal paper theme for my invites and programs - I was wondering how exactly did you print on the petal paper? I can't seem to picture it!

I was able to use my ink jet printer. You have to be careful with the paper you purchase. I specificaly looked for paper that would work with an ink jet. Another alternative would be to print out the information on clear lables.

I stole the idea from SonicStef. We got the votives on sale at Micheal's 2 for $1, and a bag of tealights is $5.99 for 50, but you can use the 50% coupon that comes in the paper too. So it is not very expensive but I think it will look beautiful and is another keepsake for your guests.
