Place for NYC shower

Can anyone suggest a restaurant for in NYC for a bridal shower?

something that does brunch w/ a private/semi private room would be great

Do you have a preference of location (uptown, downtown, midtown, etc . . . )
Also, what kind of food do you want ?

Lady Mendl's on Irving Place at 17th Street. I have been there for afternoon tea and it is lovely. There was a shower going on when I was there.

Dumb question... when you say NYC are you limiting yourself to JUST Manhattan?? There is a place in on Woodhaven Boulevard in Woodhaven (I believe) called Joe Abbraciamentos.... It is an old movie theater. I had a friend of mine's shower there about 2 years ago and been to many parties there since. The food is excellent. It is family style, so you are constantly given food throughout the day. I thought it was good... The price was not too bad either from what I remember... Everyone complimented me on it!!!

I went to a really nice bridal shower last summer at Danal on 10th Street & 3rd Ave. The place is so cute, very good brunch and we had the whole upstairs room to ourselves. It definitely has a girly, antiquey feel to it.
