Place for the reception

Hey ladies, I need your help. My fiance and i have been hall hunting for about 2-3 weeks now. We are looking for a hall that can hold 300 people and with a garden in the back you know with a gazebo and waterfalls. So far we found 2 or 3 which are beautiful but a little too much money. We went to the carltun in eisenhower park the cheapest their giving is 125 a person, majestic garden i think it was like 75 a person, and the crescent beach club in bayville about 70 a person. All these prices do not include taxes . We dont mind not paying alot for flowers considering their going to die quickly. Our problem is we need a hall with reasonable prices that holds 300 people.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks girls =)

Place for the reception

The reception hall that we are using cane hold up to 500 people for a sit down dinner and the dinner for a Saturday afternoon is $60 per person for us in October. It has a gazebo in the front but not too much grounds to speak of. The name of it is West Lake Inn in Patchoque. Good Luck Lisa

Place for the reception

The Huntington Town House can hold that many people and they advertise a pretty good price per person. One of my friends got married there and was very happy with the place. I was not at the wedding so I cannot comment. Also, Fox Hollow should have a room too. They might be more expensive. If you consider a Sunday afternoon the price should be better.

Also try...

You could also try Coral House. I believe that they can accomodate up to about 400 people. They have a lake in the front but no gazebo to speak of. How about the place I'm getting married at? It's the Riviera of Massapequa, it has an outdoor Gazebo and a mini-garden. The place is beautiful. Also, check out this website http://www.cateringhall.com/HallDir/ny/LI.html you can call all of these places up and ask them if they have a gazabo and a garden. One more suggestion is Argile Park in West Islip. They have a beautiful gazebo and there is a park right across the street. It would make a lovely place for the ceremony or just to take pictures. If you do decide to have your ceremony there, make sure you get permission from the town of west islip. Good luck and happy planning. vickfl77

fox hollow

Has beautiful gardens ( I got married there) with a gazebo and little waterfalls. They def have rooms that can hold 300. Check their prices for thu nights and sat or sun afternoons. They tend to be on the high side, depending on the season...but the food, atmosphere, and service was worth it to us!

fox hollow-another vote!

My wedding was there also. We paid $76pp for a Friday night and could have gotten it cheaper for a Saturday day or Sunday. Also look into a holiday eve or day. We could have had July 3rd or 4th for $60pp.

Place for the reception

Try the Scotto Brothers places (Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor, Chateau Briand), they can be expensive, but give great deals for non-Saturday night affairs. And, was Crescent Beach really $70pp?? That's amazing - when we looked a year ago they quoted us $125 (for a non-Saturday night).

Crescent question?

I went to look there, and because I`m only expecting about 130 or so at our wedding, we were given a vague price of at least $175 or more pp for Sept/Oct 2002. I think they have a set price per day for a wedding (for that time of year), and the more people you have, the less expensive it is per person. At least that is what the manager implied to us.

Crescent question?

I was quoted $125 pp $150 for 125 people for a Saturday afternoon wedding in July '02. Art, the manager, was willing to go down to $105 pp for the 4th of July and we put a down payment down, but then we got really negative feedback and cancelled. $150 per person is really outrageoud, but let me tell you, I LOVED THAT PLACE! i don't think I'd adore it as much if it rained though. I chose Vineyard.
