Placecard etiquette questions...

Placecard etiquette questions...

1...For a couple that's just dating, does it matter if the boy or girls name goes first? Or should I make the first name the person I actually know and not their date?

2...If a couple is engaged, is it tacky to make their placecard out as 'The Soon to Be Mr. and Mrs. X'? Or should I just do like above?

Re: Placecard etiquette questions...

hmm for #1 i think you should just put the person you know's name on it....you never know if they break up before the wedding and then that would be awkward, lol.

for #2 I don't know about anyone else but I would love to see future mr and mrs whatever on it. I think it's cute

i would put

#1: Mr. Bob Jones and guest

#2 Mr. Bob Jones and Sally

future would be cute too....

please tell this to FSIL - i went to FH's nieces communion party (at captain bills) and she gave us separate invitations and separate place cards. um hello, were are a couple!!!

Re: Placecard etiquette questions...

1. the first name should probably be the person you know... it don't think it matters that's just how I usually see it.

2. I like the Future Mr. And Mrs. thing. I hate when they address my fiancee and I seperately on place card and invites.
