Placecard frames

OK, so I did the easy part, I bought my placecard frames. Now I have to create the part that goes on the inside. Does anyone have any suggestions on how they did theirs, or a template to share? Thanks!

By the way, Wrap With Us has a huge selection of frames and everything else wedding related!

Re: Placecard frames

I helped a coworker during lunch do hers. She used a blank business card in white from Avery. Fortunately for her the card was the same size as the insert for the frame. She typed in:

Nancy and Jim
May 14, 2002

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
Table 6

Of course it was centered and in a fancy font. She typed a full page, checked for typos and printed. Hope this helps.

Re: Placecard frames

ido2003,
were the business cards perforated, or did she have to cut them out individually? i'll have to see if they will fit into my frames..... any other ideas how to make the card that goes inside the frame?

Octobergirl - yes they were perforated and fit perfectly. I wonder if she planned that before she bought her frames?

Re: Placecard frames

I just checked, and that might not work for me. I held up a business card next to the frame, and I think its too big... that would have been a great idea though. I am totally dreading all that cutting!!!!

Re: Placecard frames

I would use a papercutter over a scissor if you have access to one. The lines would be straighter.

Re: Placecard frames

octobergirl, i did the same thing as someone else mentioned and they turned out GREAT!! go to staples and buy the avery bus. cards that DO NOT have the perforated edges...then i downloaded an emblem that matched the one on my invites from the microsoft design gallery, played with the colors and size, etc....moved it to the bus. card template and then just added : You are seated at table number ___....then printed them on a laser printer...they look GREAT!!

Re: Placecard frames

i have a friend who is great with Excel, and she created a template that made inserts the exact size of my frame. all i had to do was type the names on one Book of the template, and it would feed automatically to fill in the inserts on another page. then i just printed out the pages and cut them. the only thing is that you can only fit pages and table numbers, no other wording...
