If you use silver frames for the placecards, are those the favor? Or do you still have favors on top of that. (ive seen it both ways so im not sure)

I've seen it done both ways as well. I suggest do what you feel comfortable with and what is in your budget

I really don't think it is necessary. you are already spending $$$ on the frames why do you need to spend more money.
You can put that money you were going to spend on another favor toward something that is more important.. ALso, your guests are not coming to the wedding to get a favor, they are coming to see you get married. just my opinion.

IMHO favors aren't necessary at all. So, with that in mind, I think the frame is very nice, and that you should only give more if you want, not because you feel obligated.

One bride I know sent a picture of her and her husband that fit into the frame perfectly. When the guest picked up their placecard frames at the reception, attached was a note with a cute poem about how they will be able to use the frame to place the picture of the new couple.

I am using the frame idea. I don't think I will be giving an additional favor. I am just going to give a little nicer frame

I had been to a wedding where the frame was the favor, and that was totally fine. I didnt expect anything else. If you feel like that is not enough maybe have some hershey kisses wrapped up or some small candy. Good Luck!

Thats what i was thinking... just add some chocolates or matches or something small. I really wanted to make favor boxes with flowers, but the cost of the supplies weren't worth it. I can still make the candy favors though. Stick some fake flowers int he ribbon to match the color scheme. I'm still using a frame I got as a placecard frame years ago. It was a nice silver heart shaped frame. I thought it was a good idea.

I just bought placecard holders and was wondering the same thing, I think I may have a little candy to go with it and a lotto ticket but I havent decided yet, I mean retail for the placecard holder was 13$ a piece! not that I paid that much but that seems like more than enough, what do the frames cost on average?

Ive seen the frame vary from 1.25 each to much more.... but i'll stick to the 1.00 to 2.50 a piece range. That seems like a reasonble price to stick to. Thats what most of them cost
