Placecard holders???

I am debating if i should spend teh extra $$ on placeard holders and/or fancy place cards or if i should just use what teh RH gives us.

I feel like if i buy placecard holders, people will throw tehm away - what do you think?

I went through the same thoughts...I've decided not to. I can't justify the extra expense- but some are just so cute!!!

Jenn,
We purchase pumpkin place card holders for our wedding. We are having a autumn wedding. If you have a themed wedding you can do the place card holders. I always keep my place cards and place card holders. Some of the place card holders can hold a candle. If you any questions and or need any ideas FM me.

My thoughts, don't go crazy. I am telling you, 50% off the cards were left on the table and no one took it. They look where they are sitting and go!

Unless it is a frame or favor they take it, but just a card not worth it IMO.

I chose other. I made my own place cards for very cheap, they sell the cards at michaels, you can just decorate them how you want! These are mine..

Thats a tough question. I am doing my own place cards HOWEVER I can understand if you want to save the money and just use the ones that the RH provides. But I think if I were in your situation I would go with my own place cards..but keep in mind that I brought mine on ebay for a few bucks so I wasnt spending that much money to begin with.

We are doing regular place cards, but with our names on it. It wasn't as expensive as buying holders.

I responded 'other'......what I'm doing (since my handwriting is heinous) is getting them done by an ebay seller......they're .65 cents each, and they're layered (although they seem creative so they could probably make something specific if you asked them to). I'm layering them w/ bronze & ivory metallic cardstock, so it will mimic my invitations. I just ordered direction inserts for the church through her- I had my proof within 24 hours.....and for 125 of those it only cost $25!! you can't beat it!!! oh and I wanted to add that she actually matched the fonts perfectly to the direction card I have from my reception hall!!! I love Tammy!!

here's a link to her store:

I think it is a waste. the only one I can see useful is like a picture frame type. I went to a wedding where the placecard was stuck in a bell - I ended up throwing it away. I am just using the fold over ones JMO
