just wondering, for a wedding you have over 100 guest, about 10-12 tables. the table that the placecard holders go on, where people will sit, do you put down each names, or family? i am having a little picture frame or heart shaped placecard holders, should i put each persons name according to the table? i am confused, how do i go about this?

Usually you put down each couple on one place card like: Mr. John Doe and Guest or Mr. & Mrs. John Doe
I would imagine if you are inviting small children who will be sitting WITH their parents you could do '&family' on the place cards.

sounds right, but if the children are grown up they should have their own placecard

You could put adult couples on one card, and then children separate. (Less crowded that way too) But you can put multiple children from the same household on one card, like Mary, Sue, and John XXX
