Placecard question

I have 3 families of 4 people and 1 of 6 people...what should I put on the placecard(s)?

The Smith Family

or

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Daughter & Son Smith

or should you do separate placecards for the kids? I keep thinking that the kids won't think to look for their own placecards but I'm not sure.

I would for Mr. and Mrs. xx and Family

I have that same issue, BUT because they are older I am writing The Smith Family...

How old are the kids? If they are over 13 or 14, I would probably give them their own.

Otherwise I would put the parents' name on one line and the kids on the second line.
