Placecard question...
If you have a guest that has a significant other, would you write two placecards or one?Mr. John Smith and Ms. Jill Jones
Or one for her and one for him?

Re: Placecard question...
I just went to a wedding and even though we are engaged we were sent seperate invites and had seperate placecards. I thought it was weird. If they are close use one if they just met use and guest.

Re: Placecard question...
I am doing one placecard. I have a lot of people that fall into this category.Mr. John Doe and Ms. Jane Smith
Table 2
I am writing out the placecards the same way people responded on the rsvp card.

Re: Placecard question...
I am doing them formal.I just wasn't sure if they should each get a placecard. If they were married they would get only one so it seems like one per couple would do it.
More opinions please!

Re: Placecard question...
I am doing it the same as the invites. So if a couple is getting separate invites (because they don't live together) they will get separate place cards. But if they get one invite, they will get one place card.

Re: Placecard question...
Another placecard question....Amarried couple, do I put Mr. and Mrs. John Doe?
Then I never put the woman's name?
Thats how I did it for my invites, but I didn't have an inner envelope, so I never put the woman's name anywhere.....
hmmm....

Re: Placecard question...
I'm about to start doing the placecards for my e-party. Can I put first names only? Or is that really bad? I just have soo many long last names.
Thanks

Re: Placecard question...
If you are having a small, casual e-party then first names only is okay. Unless you have lots of the same named guests. For a more formal e-party you need to include last names.

Re: Placecard question...
If they are married, you don't use the woman's name on anything (outer/inner envelopes, place cards, etc.) unless you are doing something informal:Jane and John Doe
If you are doing it formal, you always do:
Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

Re: Placecard question...
It's not a very formal e-party, but it's not casual. And we're having over 100 people. I'm going to use last names too. Thanks Michele!!!
