Hey guys... how formal do you write out the place cards? Do you say 'Mr. and Mrs. John Smith' or do I say 'Lois and John Smith' I am starting to stress out... 2 weeks tomorrow, and I am sick as a dog! AHHHH

Re: Placecards
I haven't done mine yet, but I'm going to write them in the formal way (i.e. Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Of course, if you're having a SUPER casual wedding then I don't think you have to do that. But I think if you're having an evening affair where the adults are getting dressed up then it's appropriate to write it out formally. HTH!!

Re: Placecards
I will be using Mr and Mrs as long as the couple is married with the same last name. For engaged couples/dating couples/couples with different last names I will be using Mr so and so and Ms so and so...HTH

Re: Placecards
Unless the wedding is informal, you should write out Mr. & Mrs. John Smith Mr. John Smith and Ms. Jane Doe Mr. & Mrs. John Smith and family (if children are attending)
for children under 18 : Master John Smith Miss Jane Doe

Re: Placecards
I'm going to write it out formally - Mr. & Mrs. John Smith.
However, you should do whichever way you like. The most important thing is just that you're consistent across all of the cards.

I second that - always more formal rather than less. The only issue I had was when I had guests that weren't married and replied with a guest but no last name for them!! I just titled them Mr. John Smith and Guest...
