PLACECARDS VS SOMETHING ELSE??? NEED HELP

I CANT DECIDE ON USING JUST THE PLAN PLACECARDS OR JUST ADDING A LITTLE TOUCH....NEED HELP?? WHAT IS EVERYONE ELSE USING....SINCE IM A FALL WEDDING; I WAS THINK OF A PUMPKIN PIC. FRAME...

my hall does personalized seating so i dont have to do the seating charts

my friend is doing the place cards but her photographer is using an engagement photo and adding it to the palce cards...which is cute, maybe you could do the cards and add the pumpkins

the pumpkin picture frames are cute, but will people put them up after? or will it be one of those things people toss... i dont know your guests... but i think going with a themed idea is cute

Nic, I do not think that they do personalized seating anymore? I spoke to them last week and they said I needed placecards?? I am so confused now!!

Yes last week when I spoke to the new wedding coordinator guy! He said they used to do this but not any more. I remember my best friend had the same issue with them when she got married there and she found herself scrambling last minute to make placecards!!! i do not care either way I just do not want to find out last minute!!!

i am glad i know i guess, but i really liked it the other way... now another thing to worry about and do and it would be nice if they told people these things...(ok ok i am overreacting i know ... )

You may want to double check b/c this guy was new and he may not be totally aware of what they do!!

Maybe you can do one of those tree tag holder things and have everyone's name on different colored 'leaves' hanging from the tree?? I've seen this done before, I'm sure someone has a pic.

We are doing seashells like below. I ordered the shells and I am writing it myself

It is different (Got the idea from CaMacho!)

I'm going to make the place cards myself and then buy those pewter antique chair holders. I'm going to do table numbers myself also that match the place card design and then put them in pewter frames. My hall only uses the plain white table numbers and I don't like them at all.

I think the pumpkin pic frame is a great idea.

i will have Sonic stef do a seating scroll for me!! I do not really want the placecards! Her prices were very good as compared to other sites!

I've seen cookies made cookies similar to Marble cookies but different color and they were in the shape of the wedding cake. They each had the table# on them. They were wrapped in cellophane with each guests name twisting them closed. That might be a great idea as pumpkins. Ahhhh there are soooo many ideas for fall. There are so many beautiful things you can do. I love the fall. What about actually using those small pumpkins that are sold everywhere at the farmers stands. Those are beautiful, inexpensive and I know I would love to take those home.

im having a cinderella themed wedding so i purchased pumpkin coach placecard holders. for all of the money i am spending this was so cheap, and i think will dress up the card table a little more. good luck!
