I think my Dad is going to help pay. He said to look for places that charge about/up-to $100 pp.
And at first I was looking for a place with great outdoor photo areas but what if it isnt nice weather??? So I dont want to base my decision on that. I just started planning about a week ago, I was living the engaged life w/o planning for a while.

Well if the place has a nice outdoor area and its decorated pretty inside, you are set either way. I heard great things BTW about Riviera.

Re: Places I am going to see
That is correct about rivera being nice but with your people count, it might be alot. I went to a wedding for about 100 ppl and i thought it was very small...not alot of space

This was one of the reasons we chose Fox Hollow. Pretty outside and a really nice photography studio room inside. Just thought I'd mention that because I agree that it's an important consideration.

CHECK OUT RUSSO'S I'VE LOOKED INTO IT BECAUSE I HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM, ACTUALLY I'M LYING, I HEARD OUTSTANDING THINGS ABOUT THEM.UNFORTUANTLY THEY WERE MORE THEN WE CAN AFFORD.
Try the Stewart Manor Country Club. (www.stewartmanor.com) 1 wedding at a time, personal service, great food, great price $65 pp, pretty grounds for pictures. We liked it becasue it had that 'country home' feel. Russo's was a bit 'over the top' for us.
Good luck, Donna 10/5/03

Re: Places I am going to see
I have been to the Riveria and it is really pretty. The only thingis if you are having more than 150 people the seating arrangements can be very awkward. Good Luck and Congrats

Re: Places I am going to see
I agree with the other girls, Rivieria will be tight for that size wedding, I wouldn't even waste your time to check it out, North Ritz Club is great check that out, Flowerfield is Amazing but a bit further out and more pricey, Floral Terrace (thats on Jericho right?)you should check out, but they don't have grounds to take photo's Fox Hollow is nice, the Watermill is nice-near flowerfields, further out.
Update: The guest list has been cut down to about 125. Do you think that the Riviera is still too small? We actually are going there tonight to check it out.
I am soooo excited. This is the first place we are visiting.

Re: Places I am going to see
The Riviera was our first place to see as well. It is beautiful and has great grounds for outdoor pictures. The only thing that we weren't thrilled about was the cocktail hour room...a little small. BUT since you are getting married in the summer, you can have your cocktail hour outside and then space wouldn't matter.
I am also partial to Jericho Terrace but they don't have too much for outdoor photography (which in the winter isn't a concern for me). Westbury Manor does and it is gorgeous!
Definitely try to check a few different places before deciding. Good luck and have fun!
