My mom started looking into places we could have our rehearsal dinner, and it's turning out to be more difficult than we imagined, b/c a lot of places don't seem to want to give up that much of their space on a Friday night, or either don't have a private party room, or just don't want to do a large group. It's also pretty expensive.. which on top of all the other expenses, at this point just seems like a shot in the eye!
We have about 21 adults and 5 or 6 kids that will be attending, and we're looking for something 'reasonable' but nice - doesn't have to be fancy, but not like a pizzeria, either! - & good food. We want to have in either in or near Syosset (north shore Nassua county).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sperenza has a small room. Mim's in Syosset. Butera's in Woodbury, Major's Steak House in Woodbury, Cafe Testarosa? Just to name a few...

i would highly recommend la parma in williston park - we got the entire upstairs for our e party on a sat night, the space was huge

Either Singletons in Bethpage or there other resturante they own at the Woodlands...we had a rehersal there its soo nice.

I had mine at Cafe Testarossa it was realllly good....private room and best price....like 20$ pp again this was in 07 but def a really nice place!!
ok just looked...prices def have gone up....now in the 30's price range

yea testarossa is supposedly really good (and super close to our house), but they are requiring a 50 person minimum and we only have 27.
after SOOOO much calling around today, i finally found a really nice place in huntington that would accommodate us at $29 pp. this is the most promising offer so far.
