places to take pictures near bay? - church in Bay Shore

I was wondering if anyone knows of a quick convenient place to take nice water shots on the great south bay that is near St. Pat's church in Bay Shore. I was going to go to the Auboretum also but would like some pictures near the water.

How about going over to Robert Moses for a little while?

I figured going to Robert Moses would be a little risky. Being it is going to be June, there might be a big crowd there that day. All I would need would be to get stuck in traffic on the bridge.

Oakdale Arboreteum -- about a 10 minute drive or less from St. Patrick's.

I believe the fee is b/t $6 -$12 per car/limo.
( That's what I paid for the Escalade 16 passenger and a Rolls Royce)

The fee is higher if you have a bridal bus or something..... but still less than some of the other places for pictures.

ETS: I read your post too quickly but there is a river or something at the arboretum (Connetquot River?).

argyle park is down the road, heading west. not sure what town it's considered. I've gotten pics taken there before. However it's not a bay, just a lake. I vote for the arboretum, cuz it's beautiful inside there..

Definitely the Arboretum in Oakdale - it's beautiful there...and there is a body of water, as septbride said. It's the same one that runs behind Bourne and Dowling.

I second the arboretum in Great River (Bayard Cutting Arboretum) or you can go to Heckscher State Park...it's right on the bay. Just take Southern State all the way to the end.
