places to take pictures on long island??

Hello ladies, I am getting married in Woodbury and my Reception is in east Elmhurst , queens. I planned on going to Shea Stadium to take pictures, but I am a bit worried that they wont let me do it on the grounds. I even called someone and confirmed it, but you never know. I want to go to some place nice to take pics in between woodbury and East Elmhurst, and then if we have time we can try to go to Shea.

Any ideas? I know some girls said there was a place on Mineola Blvd. I work right on Old Country Road and Mineola Blvd, so I know the area, I just have never seen anything over there.

I also did searcheso n google and I cant find anyhting. any help would be great :) Thanks!

I know where your reception is in Queens, I have been there. You can take pics in LIC at Gantry park and even 5 points. I took e-pics at gantry park, its on the water and has an amazing view of the NYC skyline. Theres also a grassy area where you can take real nice pics and other types of pics too. Depends what type of pics you want though. Whether you prefer garden type pics or more urban. I wanted more urban so thats why I did gantry park and also 5 points where they have the graffiti walls

Urban or garden types of places will be fine. I just want some place nice. Is it still a nice place even in the winter??? I don't want pics of like dead flowers/plants and that kind of stuff lol

well gantry park is not a garden so there would be no flowers plants there. So yeah i would definitely ask about this if you do it elsewhere in LI and its a garden. At gantry park you can take pics by the water and with the view of the skyline. What i suggested is more urban setting, not sure about garden places bc didn't look into that.
