Plainview

We are going to look at a house in this area (sale by owner). I hear that it is a nice area with good schools. Anyone have any other input?

Inlaws live there, it is very nice but the houses are pretty expensive

I lived on the border of Plainview and Bethpage for years. I loved it over there.

We have family and friends in Plainview. Like Tammy said, it's a nice area with expensive home prices (in general).

But, in return for the high $, you'll be in a great area-close to all, great shopping, excellent schools, pretty easy commute to NYC on LIRR.

We like the area, but it was waaaay out of our budget...

I grew up in Plainview/old bethpage. it is a very nice area to live in and the schools are good.

We were looking to buy a house there, actually got an accepted bid but the sellers backed out and decide not to sell the house. we are ending up in syosset closing at the end of January.

I will tell you since we have been looking since september be prepared to pay over 400,000 for morton ranches and way above that for anything else. The taxes are on the high side too.

fm if you have any questions I know plainview pretty well.

I have a great broker if you are interested who sold us our house in syosset but is she has been selling houses for years in the Plainview area...
