Is it possible, or am I just going to drive myself insane. I had been planning on spring 2007, but now it seems there is a problem with every date we look at, now down to a parade blocking the way to the church, which I found out about the day before I was to sign the contract with the catering hall.
So now I'm looking at this fall... I've already chosen a dress, and it can be in within 6 weeks, so that's not a problem. My bridesmaids are wearing dresses from the J. Crew catalogue so not a time problem their either. Basically DJ and photos are what I'm worried about.
So anyone have any opinions? Think I'm totally insane to want to plan this all in 6 months?

I am getting married in october. You can definitely do it. I got engaged on christmas morning and have been getting everything done even though everyone said i couldnt plan a wedding in that short amount of time. Good Luck

You can definitely do it. My SIL planned her whole wedding in six months without a hitch. Plus she got a discount from the Milleridge Carridge House due to taking over a cancellation. She had a Sat. nite wedding for like $75 including tax and tip, flowers included. A DEAL !!!!!!! And it was in mid-May.

The girls on this site have been extremely helpful.... and I have saved a lot of time and money by using the information I have read here.. and all you have to do is either search or just ask

Definitely! as others have said.... especially since you have some stuff done...We were only engaged 11 months, and really only booked stuff 10-8 months prior.

We planned our wedding in around 4 months. Its definatly possible, just be flexible about vendors, etc. WE actually got discounts b/c of the short notice.

definitely possible, but you might not get your first choice in vendors. If you want to plan a wedding in 6 months, you'd better get moving ASAP!!

It's certainly possible. Although I had a little bit of difficulty planning my wedding in Oct '05 for Oct '06. You will definitely be limited with certain things. I was also trying to keep the wedding cost on the low end so I found that a lot of the more reasonable vendors were booked (i.e. photographers, catering halls). But it's certainly possible. And you may find some really good deals if the vendors need to book. Good luck.

I'm doing it in 8 months and to be honest it's a ALOT of work. I'm not used to living and breathing wedding planning everyday. And it affects me at work since I have to call alot of vendors during business hours.
If you got alot of help and love to plan it'll be fine, but otherwise, I wont' recommend it
My wedding is in Oct and so far all I got done is hall, photographer/videographer and DJ.
Havent even got the dress yet, boohoo!
