Re: PLANE CRASH IN NYC!
Channel 2 just reported it was a helicopter.
I live about 15 blocks from that building and you see corporate helicopters going up and down the east river all day...
I'm in my apt now..can see smoke from the fire from my living room window and there are tons of police and firetrucks racing up first avenue..very scary

CBS 880 said the FAA said it was a fixed wing aircraft, but said the FDNY said it was a chopper. So weird with the conflicting information.

Re: PLANE CRASH IN NYC!
so sad, I hope nobody on the ground or in the building was injured or worse, as well as in the plane.
Come on news teams, tell us what it was!!

an eyewitness to the crash said it was a plane. The FAA said it was a plane. I think it was a plane.

Re: PLANE CRASH IN NYC!
FAA confirmed it was a plane and www.7online.com updated their story from 'helicopter' to 'aircraft'.
