Does anyone have a particular wedding planner book that they have purchased?
Is is better to just make up your own binder with different sections or purchase a planner or do you have both?

i have a microsoft program on my computer that I use and enter all info, and anything else I just have a plain folder with pockets for. I wasnt about to spend a ton of money on that (most are like $20)

Re: Planner - Binder???
My mom got me a book last Christmas that was helpful, but I also got an old binder and made sections and used that. Both were helpful. I tried to be as organized as possible and it really helped make my life easier.
I divided it into Church info, RH info, Contracts, Pictures/things I like in the back.
I have my to do lists in there (used the one from the book she gave me too, but had to add to it). Had my guest list printed out and put in there.

Re: Planner - Binder???
I just made my own binder - took a big white binder from work and made my own tabs and just hole punch anything and everything I want to put in there. Now, since most decisions have been made, it just has vendor contracts and receipts in it.

Re: Planner - Binder???
I had MILLIONS of spreadsheets to track everything but I also went to Staples and bought one of those accordin folders to separate by vendors. Made everything easy to find.

Re: Planner - Binder???
My mother got me a book and it has a great format, but I like the customized folder I created called 'Wedding Stuff' on my computer. I broke it down into smaller folders (Pictures, Financial, BM, etc)

Re: Planner - Binder???
I purchased the planner and realized it just wasnt working for me. So i went to Staples and got a photo album and am keeping my inspiration pictures, contracts, to do lists, etc. That way it keeps me organized and i also have a scrapbook to look back on when im all done.

I have The Complete Wedding Planner & Organizer. It's pretty good, although I've overstuffed it and some of the holes on the folders have ripped!

ITA with the accordion file holder instead of a binder. FH (And mom) laughed at me at first but now they love it. I put in folders for each category (reception, ceremony, dress, honeymoon etc) and when I want to look at something I can just take out one folder and take it with me or do whatever I want with it instead of being stuck with a huge binder.

I bought my own binder at Staples and decorated it all cute! :)
I put in sleeves to keep everything protected and tabs.

Re: Planner - Binder???
I have a binder but i actually went an bought one of these and set it up with all file folders and stuff. you don't usually do more than one thing at one time. you take the folder out and put it back when you are done. i am also able to put tons of pamphlets and stuff in it. i got it for $10 at walmart. my $90 planner is sitting on top of it barely opened!
i posted the same thing a year ago, aaah how time flies
i ended up making my own bought a pretty one from staples made my own sections I take it with me to every appt!

Re: Planner - Binder???
I have 2 complete organizer binders one I bought and one that my friends bought me as a gift. I haven't used either too much yet but then again I haven't really booked anything yet.
