boyfriend wants to start planning without a ring. so you guys been my inspiration to start looking at places.
just wanted to say thank you to all of you. can i still pull of a late 2007 wedding? when did all of you start planning????

You can most defiantly plan a wedding by then. I got engaged this past January and getting married next May.
I have all the major vendors booked already because I wanted to lock in 06 prices.

I would start looking for a reception location soon for an 07 wedding. When I went looking in February... they were booking for 2008 already! We wanted a Memorial Day weekend but a lot of the places didn't have it available so we booked for Labor Day weekend. I would start looking now if you can. Good Luck

I am may 2007 & I got enegaged in December 05, we waiting till january to go start looking, alot was booked for 2008 too,,

We started planning before a ring because i wanted one location and one only and it was booooking UP!!!

Check out the reception hall thread, I found it really helpful when I started looking at halls. I'll try and bump it for you.

Don't worry, you'll get everything done. I have been to fabulous weddings that were pulled together in 6 months and under.

You do have plenty of time, my advice is for you and your FH to come up with a preliminary budget (that way you can narrow down some choices). Then I would suggest to start looking at some places soon, because you want to get the '06 prices before they go up next year . This website is great for getting info, so if you're think about a certain place or too, do a search or post asking girls for their exp. or recent prices. I think someone already bump the RH thread for you.

I;m getting married May '07 and only have a hall and a church and a date. Nothing else.

You have plenty of time till late '07. Well over a year.

Yes, I wanted 10/13/07 and I couldnt get that night I have to change my Date to 9/29/07
