Im getting married in september and i feel like im doing all the planning and comming up with ideas by myself, my MOH is my sister and she just says yes to everything. My parents wont tell me what the budget is and that makes it even more frustrating....I want to scream

Re: Planning alone
I did all my planning alone, too. I used LIW and other internet sources to do all my research. You can do it !!!!!

Re: Planning alone
I have my parents helping me, luckily, well, my mom really. My FH wont give me an answer on anything, he just keeps telling me whatever i want to do is fine, no input, so I just keep doing what i want

Re: Planning alone
i did most of the planning myself, too... my mom just isn't into the whole wedding thing ( her and my dad just eloped) so she didn't help much, and my sister is younger and in college, so she didn't care much either..... and of course, like all guys, DH just told me to do what i wanted so, you can do it!! its possible! thats why sites like this exist- you hvae people who will listen to you talk about the wedding and stress over the tiny detals... i do have to say though, you need to talk to you parents to find out how much they are giving you, if any at all... so that you know how much you and FI need to come up with on your own- i would definitely talk to them about that soon before you do too much planning....

Re: Planning alone
same problem here, but honestly all the girls on this site have provided me with such invaluable advice that I felt like i had a whole army helping me plan! Definitely use these boards as much as possible, everyone is so nice and helpful, I would have never been able to plan this wedding in 8 mos. without them!

Re: Planning alone
I did all of my planning alone. I mean I would come up with the ideas, vendor suggestions, etc and then FH would input what he thought. But I always take the initiative with the planning. My sister is also my MOH and she is graduating from college in May so I don't really want to bug her with the wedding stuff b/c I want her studying for finals. But I never consider myself alone...I have all the LIW girls to help me too!!!

Re: Planning alone
My FH pretty much agrees with everything I want, and my parents are doing what they can. Hopefully I can pull this off!!!

Maybe your better off doing it on your own, Sometimes its better if noone gets involved.

Re: Planning alone
I feel like I'm doing everthing on my own too. I feels like I have to twist my mom's arm just to get her opinion or to get her to come with me to check things out. And FH is two states away, so I can tell him about stuff and send him pictures, but I'm still doing all the grunt work.
I feel your frustration. Just keep in mind it will all be worth it on your wedding day.

Re: Planning alone
Yeah same here! I try to run everything by FH before making final plans and placing deposits. But he's not really into actual planning. He tells me what he wants, needs and likes and leaves the rest up to me! It does get frustrating sometimes!

Re: Planning alone
I think the grass is always greener -there is definatly toooo much help on my side, and it can really make deciding on anything nearly impossible. With that said, I think the best help you can find is right here on LIW!
