Planning from TX! HELP!
Hey ladies.. I need advice on receptions sites! I moved to Dallas for work and left FH in LIC to plan and carry out my orders. I sent him to look at several of them, but in his opinion, they're all nice!
Here are the places we've seen:
1. Waters Edge
2. Grand Prospect Hall
3. Sand Castle
4. Jericho Terrace
Overall, I really LOVE Waters Edge! The view is stunning and my out of town guests would LOVE it. We visited in August and they quoted $100/ PP which is a BIG difference from their original $150 since we'll having it on a Monday (Columbus Day).. (PLUS, its Non Alcoholic, for religious reasons.) We're planning on 250-300, which they said they could accomodate.
Anyway, we started looking at other places because of the price and GPH was another option. We get the WHOLE place for $85/ PP. It was GRAND, ornate and beautiful.
I went back to negotiate with WE, expecting it to be a difficult bargain. The strange thing is, they lost my original quote, and she priced it at $85 off the bat, and said if we guaranteed 200, she'd throw in parking at brought it down to $82 pp!
I was overjoyed that they caved, but now I'm worried. I saw that they just got audited: http://www.comptroller.nyc.gov/press/2008_releases/pr08-11-160.shtm which is freaking me out.. i DO NOT want to book this place and have it shut down on me!![]()
What should I do?
