So, I'm talking to my BM over e-mail and she's asking some question about things we've booked and then says- wow, I feel like I know nothing about your wedding, you guys are really doing it all on your own...
Now, i feel bad. Are you guys including other people in your planning?

They 'get' it.
Family and friends....nooooope. I've taken some of their recommendations and have met with a few vendors they've suggested, but I haven't booked anyone they've suggested.

I keep my parents in the loop, they are laying out the cash so they get to hear about decisions we make....we've been able to decide on every vendor ourselves, as long as the price is right lol.

FH and I go to all appointments on our own. We keep family and friends away from the decision making, where possible

My BMs could not care less what DJ or photographer I booked (aside from one who is a 2011 bride). They want to know where it is (what kind of cake/food/alcohol will be provided) and what my dress looks like and that's it.

I've been given several suggestions, too, but while they are talking I just smile through my teeth and think to myself 'Boy, they have NO idea what they are talking about, I've already looked into this and it's ludicrous!' Needless to say, I haven't taken a single one.

I've tried to include my mom but it's getting to annoying. It's mostly me and FH and then I will tell people about details.

we have basically done everything ourselves.....we tell our parents some stuff...but no one had ever seen our invites till they went out. or they have no clue about the flowers we are doing. I want stuff to be surprises!

It's mostly just me and FH. We try to include our parents but mostly just to let them know what we decided and to get some opinions. The more people you include, the more stressful it is.

My parents and FIL's generally know. As for my BP, I only talk about it when they ask. I don't want to overwhelm them with it, lol.

I involve my BP a little bit and my parents (and his). I don't tell them every detail but FH doesn't want to do anything but pick out the music so I bring different girls to different things just so I don't have to go on my own but my 2 sisters live out of state, 3 of my bridesmaids are planning their own weddings, 1 cousin is helping me with some things that she is designing and FSIL is kinda into it but kinda not.

We got this once about a month before the wedding from a BP member and I did kinda feel bad but at the same time, we did try to include her and she just didn't seem interested... For the most part, we did most of the planning on our own but we did try to include the people that asked us about our plans.

We did everything ourselves My mother and sister where the only people I asked for advice or help with the planning. My BMs did feel bad they wanted to help more and kept asking but their was not much I need help with.

I share with some but not others. Some are supportive and kind others interject their unsolicited advise and disapproving looks which I DO NOT care for. If they're genuine friends, I say share with them, it'll make them more the happier for you.

I have had a lot of people with input. My parents are footing majority of the bill so they offer opinions and advice but as long as it's all good, price wise and such they are on board.
My MOH's have been GREAT!! They let me blab all the time and even when I try and cut back they always ask how things are going so I'm really lucky to have them. My other BM's are good for the most part. Some are better than others with advice and stuff. But that's ok I really can't complain.
