i was looking into hotels in the poconos for the weekend, cause im off monday for presidents day, but i guess they jacked up the prices cause of the holiays....
so plan b might be to go to the melting pot and get a hotel somewhere around there, and hit up some bars and have a night away...
so we aren't sure what we are gonna do...
what are your plans?

sounds good! i am gonna show my FH the menu and maybe we can try that place out sometime soon. we are always going into nyc for something and always just go to carmines cause thats all we really know...
thanks:)
I love carmines but sometimes you can wait forever for your table, well depends what time or day you go. Ninja is also real cool and VERY different, they take you down the elevator and they designed it like a ninja castle and everybody or group of ppl gets their own room. Plus there are surprises and different cool tricks they do. I will say that this place was a bit pricey. They have 4 options you can do which is 4 courses, small though and ranges from $60-90 pp but of course the $90 will have more food. Although when i went there were 8 of us and everybody was getting lots of bottles of wines, so many drinks and i had only 2. And we split the bill evenly so for me i was like W** i didnt have that much to pay this much but thats what happens when everybody else is drinking and you split the bill.
The experience of it is good and its different but as far as food other places are better, its good but now wow
it definitely is very different. You even walk through a bridge at first to get to your room. BUT dont watch the video they have on there if you want to be surprised, i had watched it so i knew everything that was going to happen. DH didnt know so that was funny for me to watch lol

For those who love house music and tai food... holy crap... go to Sea in brooklyn... you will not be disappointed... the food is delish and cheap!
ive been there a few times, i love the decor of that place. I want to sit on that swing but everytime ive gone somebody is always sitting on it lol. And yeah the place is cheap, very affordable. Its like $10-15 for an entree.

Not sure yet, right now im trying to figure out what to do for dh's 30th birthday which is Feb 5th. I wanted to throw a party that weekend but he leaves that sunday to AZ for work so not sure if i want to throw a party the day before he has to fly out, and the following weekend is v-day and dont want to ruin ppl's v-day, but my bday is the day after v-day and dh had wanted to go to ac and also see lisa lampanelli which ive been really wanting to see, he was gonna get tix last week while he was in ac but i said no since i have to work 1 saturday a month and not sure which saturday in feb i have to work otherwise i wouldve definitely done the whole AC thing.
I guess do dinner somewhere, ill let him decide this, im too busy trying to make plans for his bday lol. Im gonna take him out to Buddakan myself for his bday and then trying to throw him a party the week after or even 2 weeks after, so whatever he decides to do will be fine. Feb is so hectic for us between both of our bdays, v-day, plus our dating anniversary
I saw Lisa Lampenelli in Sag Harbor, hilarious but so offensive. Be ready to have thick skin. One woman left crying.

ive seen her stand up comedy quite a few times so yeah i know how offensive she can be. Take it like a man was crazy, i remember watching it and thinking 'omg i cant believe she just said that' but she is histerical, but yeah i do know what to expect and how bad she can get. Ive seen quite a few things shes done and she is always way out there.
I told dh no already, he was right there too where you can buy the tix and was gonna get it right then and there but since im not sure if i have to work that weekend, i didnt want him to waste money just in case we cant go. Soon though i hope to see her live

yeah and everytime we've gone it was a bit late. We usually did 10pm or after so by that time its really packed. Yeah by the bar when we're waiting for our table its always pretty packed. Its funny bc dh mentioned going to sea recently since we havent been in a long time, we were gonna go there about 3 weeks ago on a double date but then his friend called and said he couldnt do sea and to pick somewhere else lol. We used to go more often about a year ago or a little over a year ago.
Its funny how that area has changed so much. My friend lives 3 blocks away from Sea and has lived there her whole life, i remember going there years ago to pick her up or drop her off and it was dead around there and now its such a hot spot
