Planting Fields

anyone taking pictures here/taken pictures here? im getting married in december 2008 and would like to find a nice place to take wedding photos that has indoor as well as outdoor or heated spots to take pictures (in the event of bad weather and so i don't freeze my a$$ off) i'm wondering if planting fields has indoor locations or heated locations?

from what i see on the website the place looks really beautiful.....i was originally interested in OWG but they do not do wedding photography in december.....

any info on the planting fields would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I've never been their in the winter so Im not sure what you can do indoors there. It's so beautiful though...it was my top pick to do engagement photos but I let my photographer sway me into a closer location for him to get to.
Call them,...Im sure they can tell you what they have in December as far as the buildings inside.

ive been there for my photography class, for shoots and stuff like that.

no they do not have anything indoor worth wild. from my experience there, the only thing indoors and greenhouses and they smell funky.

it IS very pretty. but there are prettier grounds. but then if u have a winter wedding, i would cross off alot of things outside.... i was gunna ask about a beach or a water scenery? but that would be EVEN colder!

hmmm.....im trying to think...what about ur hall? where is it? do they have beautiful geounds inside and out?

Re: Planting Fields

we are getting married at Jericho Terrace and to be honest I really don't like it for wedding photography.

I love the ceremony room, cocktail hour room and reception room we booked - and i love the food there but as far as picture taking its not my style.......our photographer suggested that we take our pictures before the ceremony at a different location......

OWG is closed in December I already tried there......they suggested the Planting Fields.....

I am totally open to other suggestions......just looking for a nice place to take some pictures that isn't to far - and somewhere that has indoor and outdoor would be good in the event that the weather is horrible - i can tolerate the cold but for how long i'm not sure lol........

It's $50 for epics and I think $120 for wedding photos. We took our epics there, the grounds are really pretty. I believe there are buildings there but I'm not sure if it's opened to photography.

How about Vanderbilt Museum?
