I've never been to a wedding there, but I thought the hay barn (where they have the weddings) was under construction?

I was there for the Irish Tenors concert and they had an advertisement in the program that they had just constructed something new.. so I dunno.. I tried to go in but was unable to do so.. I'm going to have to schedule something and go there.. ayayaaaaaaaaaaiiiii!!

That would be cool if ya' had the reception there!!!
I didn't bother b/c their website said it was under construction, but I must say, the old hay barn looked pretty nice...I can't even imagine the new one!

They don't even mention that on their site.. only where you can have pictures taken..

this is getting really stressful Jen, I am going Saturday with Todd and my FMIL (my parents are away) to go look at places, so we'll see.. I have everything else, I'm just waiting to book a place..

We looked at the hay barn last year - I don't know if that was before of after construction, but it had a very hay barn feel to it.

I liked the idea, but the amount of flowers, candles, etc we would have needed to spuce the place up made it all not worth it.

I hear ya woman!!! My poor guy has to put up with all of my b*tchy moments!!! I've been freaking out over everything. I can't tell you how many times I came close to calling it off (meaning a big wedding, not 'a wedding'), especially since we don't have much money invested in this whole thing yet. Thank god for my sister. She's been a big help. Hell, she's practically my wedding planner!

That's the site I was talking about,, what they did was reconstruct one of the pavilions on their property and made it for weddings.. we'll see

TEll me about it !! we have even thought about a destination wedding! I cant stand it.. it's driving me crazy!

We started out with a destination wedding and I only wanted immediate family...the FH wanted close friends as well...needless to say, we didn't agree. Then we went to a wedding in our backyard and we were all set & psyched for that...until I walked into the darn Bourne Mansion!!! That f*$#ed everything up for us!!!

Ladies I have to tell you I am in the same exact boat..we talked about destination and something small and now we are doing something bigger and one minute I am psyched but then I am thinking what are we crazy..just run away...my poor FI..when will the madness end =)..I just feel it is so easy to get caught up in everything and lose sight with what is important..the marriage..I am sure it will all be worth it in the end but I keep going back and forth! Nice to know other people feel similar!
