Do you think it is worth it to add plasma screens to the DJ package? If you had it do you think it was worth the extra money?

I think it's a great addition....I love it when there's something to look at, and it's so cool if you run digital pics from the wedding on the plasma screens...I went to a wedding once where they did that and it was so much fun to see a big pic of yourself partying on the big screen :)

We had it and loved it. The screens were built in at our hall, though. We had a photographer take the pictures. It was incredible. Also, he gave us the digital files of all of the pictures. We got 300+ hi quality pics from that. It was better than doing table cameras!

We're doing the screens because we've gone to a few weddings with them and really enjoyed them. I think the guests really enjoy it and since we get a copy of the disc with the pictures, looking back we'll be able to see parts of the wedding we may not have had the chance to at the reception.

I agree. It is distracting. The DJ should be good enough to keep everyone dancing without other distractions, IMO.

This is what I thought to, so I asked my brother who is a photog's assistant and he said this is exactly what happens.

Re: plasma or no plasma??
Is it cheaper if you get it for only a montage during dinner or CH? Or do you pay the same whether its for the whole not or just part of the night?

Re: plasma or no plasma??
Do you mean the little photo frames that show changing poctures, or the large TV's showing pics they just took at the wedding?
They had both at WOTY 05, and they were both cute...but
1) With the photo frames, I didn't see what was so special about it that couldnlt be achieved with just putting regular photos around. Also, if you have a laptop, you could just set it up with a slideshow for a lot cheaper
2) With the big screen showing pics. It's ok. Not everyone really likes to see themselves (self concious etc) It's cool to see immediate photos...but it seems like more of a bar mitzvah thing. One thing I did like was when they showed childhood pics of the couple, and you could even do a little video on how you met to show during dinner to whatever.

Yes definitely, I got a lot of compliments and that is one way to personalize your wedding day...I think it made my day more special

I went to a wedding where they had the screens. I thought this was such a nice addition and it was something I would never forget.
We are having this at our wedding and we are happy about it; however, we did think about the distraction! I am sure everyone will be up dancing…depending on the DJ of course.
