Platnium Weddings

Platnium Weddings

10,000 for gown
9,000 for tiara and veil
1,000 for shoes
and 120,000 for the ring!!!!!
Her budget for her flowers is more then what my budget for the whole wedding and HM will be!!!!

Im actually not jealous, I know crazy right. I just wish I had their money but, not spend on just a wedding....house, kids college, pay off debt, invest.....I could go on.

Exactly how I feel. I think its a waste to spend THAT much on a wedding. I would like to have more than I do to make it nicer but Oh well. I would rather have that kind of money and put it toward paying off my debts and buying a place instead of renting forever. I am on year 13 of renting.....

With all that she spent on her flowers, dress, veil, tiara, shoes and ring I could have all that I want for my wedding, the best HM and a great down payment on a beautiful house.

NOPE I have cut out ALL things not necessary. Even before we had problems i was cutting out things not needed I just couldn't see spending the money even when we had it.

I have a feeling these people are saving money for retirement, kids, etc. probably own there home....I bet the money they spend on the wedding is expendable!

I didn't love her blue and brown theme (I love the colors but didn't like the way it was executed)

Yeah my whole budget is less then her flowers!!!!

I am crashing!!!

I am a bit jealous!! I wouldnt spend 'that' much on the wedding.. but I would love to be able to not worry everytime a payment or something needs to be made

FH and I couldn't stand her centerpieces, FH thought they looked like shower curtains

I like watching the show actually, because it makes me feel great about my small budget, because so often the people on Platinum Weddings spend a fortune on something and it doesn't come out the way I would even want it to.

I saw it too! I just think its insane to spend that much for a couple of hours. Even if I did have that much money (LOL yeah right) I really wouldn't spend it on stuff like that. I know people who spent like 50grand on their wedding and then divorced a year later ... Money doesn't make you happy!

And I wasn't really impressed with her wedding either, it looked like a regular wedding to me....with the other weddings, you saw the difference...but for hers it looks like she just overspent on everything IMO, the cake alone was $30,000! She could've gotten that for much less...

Funny...they had an article on a wedding magazine i bought it March....I was taken by the cake.....I didn't understand it.

My question is....What does her mother do??? she spotted the whole bill.......wow!!!!!!

they spent A LOT OF $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The reason the cake was so expensive is because they used real gold on it to adorn the fondant.

I think they include the rings in the overall prices they show, and also most of them wear real jewelry not costume jewelry....but sometimes I do think they 'fluff' up the numbers because it makes the story line more interesting.
