Re: Playboy

I told FH that I had no problem if he every wanted to get playboy BUT he also had to get me a subscription to playgirl. That didn't seem to fly too well with him so we will be subscription free

Hell yes! I even ordered a subscription for him 2 xmas's ago. Doesn't bother me in the least.

ETA: I can't believe I'm the ONLY ONE who answered yes! It's only a magazine. I'd much rather him looking at that than out seeing strippers.

i have my own stripper at home anyway......and i really dont see a problem with the mag......i dont even look at it more then once or twice anyway..........

come on dj were are you on THIS one....

LOL... my FW wouldn't give two shyts if I got playboy delivered to the house.

Hell... she actually enjoys the Playboy channel and watching it.

I get Maxim and Stuff at my job... and frankly i hardly read both of them. I'll skim through the pictures to see who's in there... but thats about it.

FH gets Stuff magazine and Maxim..thats enough for him...

i think the girls are better to look at in those anyway!

DH doesnt get any magazine subscriptions.

Re: Playboy

He used to, but not anymore. I really wouldn't care if he got it though - I read it when he did. Once we have kids I'd rather him not though. My little brother and his friends found my dad's when they were about 9, their parents were none to pleased

Re: Playboy

I guess the idea of a magazine with naked women in it IN MY HOUSE.....is revolting to me. Not only is it revolting to me it is embarrassing and disresptectful.
But that is my opinion...Just like going to strip bars...on occasion (ex. b-party) but not a weekly/monthly thing...

THANKFULLY my DH is not interested in it

Re: Playboy

i have no interest -- we only buy it when the WWE wrestling women pose nude for it, which incidentally is next month

Re: Playboy

Dh use to subscribe and it did not bother me, but when we moved in with my parents, we switched subscription to his friends house

no.. he used to bring Maxim home to 'read teh articles' then i saw he was visint their website and seeing halfnaked girls... I nipped that in the butt before it even started!

i think though that Playboy is better than say Penthouse

Playboy's a lot classier than Penthouse. They show girls' top halves more than anything, but in Penthouse, they show EVERYTHING.

ok jenn, i understand somewhat why you say that but as a woman i would think youwould look at the woman's body as a work of art and if you are happy with your own body YOU would have no problem with tim having a magazine
....

just my thought.........

Re: Playboy

When I was first dating my DH (for about a few years) I found his 'stash' because I was being nosey. I became very angry because I was probably insecure at the time. Well, I took his magazines and ripped out every picture of every naked girl and pinned them up around his room. When he came home later that day, he walked into his room and read the note that I left on his door...'now you don't have to hide these magazines anymore'. When he opened his door and saw what I did, he laughed so hard. I think he was angry at first but he got over it and threw away every magazine I ripped up.

gotta agree with ya john, i mean a strip club, i can ALMOST understand someone being uncomfortable,

but it is a MAGAZINE

Re: Playboy

Just remember EVERYONE is entitled to how these things make them FEEL... I have a completly different opinion then say Jenn and others but there is NOTHING wrong with how they feel about it, so dont make them feel silly if it bothers them, it bothers them and they are allowed that and its a valid point.

I personally dont care. I'm kind of open when it comes to those things, I have seen FH look up a website of some girl he sees on say Howard Stern the night before, I find it funny...HE can go to strip bars, look at porn, magazines, what ever he wants as long as I KNOW he isisnt looking for anything 'better' so to speak. He's just looking in my opinion, and If I was into something similiar( which Im not) I assume HE would be ok with me doing it.

But on the flip side, if I wasnt ok with it, I would hope he would do his best to respect that and understand it.

I hate when I see posts and because you dont agree , some people try to make the other person feel bad about how they feel.

Can't say that i am totally happy with my body..that would be a lie...But there have been points in my life when i was VERY happy with it and STILL wouldn't like it if Tim was looking at nude women in magazines

i guess imo looking at nude women is looking at nude women...
And i guess i kinda disgusts me that a man would buy or subscribe to magazines to see nude women?

Ya have one at home what do you need the magazine for?

Why do you need to look at other nude women for?

Re: Playboy

I love how almost every issue goes back to the women's insecurities. Different relationships have different guidelines. Magazines don't bother me, but strippers do..If your wife was chatting online to a guy and you did not like it, is it because you are insecure or because it is just something that you don't want in your marriage. Next thread should be an issue that the men are opposed to so we can call them insecure.
