Re: Playboy
NO WAY!
Honestly, I don't even know if I would really mind. I understand things like that. But, I know FH, he is VERY against all that, he doesn't even like strip clubs! So, I know he don't have the playboy!

Re: Playboy
I have a subscription to Playboy, not my DH.
I have no shame in it. The girls are gorgeous and have healthier bodies than many of the models in fashion magazines (yeah, I get all those too!)
And believe it or not, the articles are pretty interesting and they have some darn good jokes in there as well!

then why not just look at your wife...? AND if you liked to look at sexy women...there are PLENTY of sexy women in Maxim, Sports Illustrated...why do you buy playboy? Why do you have to look at naked woman?
ps- i don't care what YOU do...i just asked the question and stated my thoughts.

Re: Playboy
Two different things. The articles in Cosmo detail sex, sexual positions and how to 'please each other'. Articles like this are found more in Hustler not Playboy. All I was referring to was the topics..not the pictures.
....and that's what my husband's comments were about.

MY POINT is that i feel it is disrespectful (IMO) to have pictures of nude woman in our home.
I wouldn't want my husband to use magazines to turn himself on. HE HAS A WIFE FOR THAT...
I guess i just think it is disrespectful to me that he is gettin his groove on to a picture of another naked woman!
My DH does not read Playboy 'to turn himself on'. The pictures are just that - pictures - two-dimensional representations of people (or objects ).
Pictures of Brad Pitt are nice to look at, but they hardly turn me on...

Because he likes to look at naked women while also learning about the latest cool gadgets, video games, books, music, things going on in society, etc...it's not like there is a naked woman on every page.
I am one of those people who thinks that Cosmo/Maxim/FHM are just as sexually graphic as Playboy...but somehow they fly under the radar by masquerading as more innocent magazines.

i guess this is what i find weird..That people want to look at naked women in magazines but i guess to each his own
AND i agree with you but not so much on the Cosmo thing...i having been buying that for many years..and do not find the pics in there to be anything but geared toward fashion...the articles are risque but i really don't see anything wrong with risque articles that teach you positions and stuff..
It is the naked pics and a husbands need to see them that bothers me

Re: Playboy
Oh, I don't think he has a NEED to see naked women...THAT would definitely be something I have a problem with!
It's just a total non-issue to me. I see it as an interesting, contemporary, well-written magazine with a decidely liberal, no-BS, often un-politically correct take on issues...which just happens to have naked women in it.

I hardly consider Cosmopolitan's pictures geared towards fashion. Most of the women are shown in underwear!

There's not a need to see pics, but what's wrong with appreciating a beautiful naked body, man or woman? And not every guy gets off on the magazine. Some just admire the photos and take interest in the articles.
Do you think your FH/DH only thinks about you when he pleasures himself?!? (that's a rhetorical question)

ACTUALLY I AM LOOKING THROUGH THE LATEST COSMO AND GUESS WHAT...THE MAJORITY OF THE GIRLS ARE NOT IN THEIR UNDERWARE... SO YOU ARE WRONG THERE.

there is nothing wrong with appreciating a naked body...every month...in a magazine sent to my home...
My husband does not need magaizes to look at when he pleasures himself... AND YES...i like to think it is about me only...which i believe to be true...
Like i said...if you are comfortable with your husband looking at naked women...BY ALL MEANS...TO EACH THEIR OWN....
I think that my husband looking at naked women on a monthly basis is wrong and disgusting....
I am sure admiration of the naked body is really what most people look at it for...

I like the magazine too, Jenn. I don't think he would have ordered it if I didn't do it for him. Plus there are only a handful of naked pics in it....the articles and jokes are great reading.

No he doesn't have a subscription, but I he does have a few from years ago. Doesn't bother me, now either he'll buy it or I'll buy it for him, if a celebrity is on the cover, then we'll both look, cuz we're both curious.

Hell yes! I even ordered a subscription for him 2 xmas's ago. Doesn't bother me in the least.
ETA: I can't believe I'm the ONLY ONE who answered yes! It's only a magazine. I'd much rather him looking at that than out seeing strippers.
i agree. IMO, magazines, porn sites and videos are one thing (doesn't bother me in the least), but strip clubs are quite another.

Re: Playboy
i completely agree with one of the earlier posts on this thread, although my husband does not get it, I wouldhave absolutely no problem with it and quite frankly the few times I have seen it around, I've enjoyed reading it. They have some fantastic writers and some great interviews!
