Re: Playing with my scanner...

I hope you dont mind me asking a few questions (you can FM me if you want)

FI and I are considering an english Bulldog for when we go to FL. My biggest concern is their are some dogs that I am extremely allergic too. Yet I dont know what kind unless I am around them. How is the hair on a bulldog? I read its short, but do they shed a lot?

How is the eating habbits? How much did you pay for the dog?

I read they are a lazy dog and would rather sit in the air conditioning then run outside. I thought that was so funny when I read it and I can picture Brian and the dog sitting on the couch in the a/c relaxing watching tv.

Any other info on that type of dog would be great.

Re: Playing with my scanner...

We did alot of research on this breed, and dogs in general before we bought her. My 2 issues with any dog was the shedding, and that the dog was good with children.
Her hair is short, and she does shed, but very, very little. She has some wrinkles on her face, which have to be wiped out about once a week, and you also have to keep their nails fairly short. She is wonderful with my son, and they are known to be great family dogs. Since having her, I have run into a few English Bulldog owners and they have all said you will never find a better dog.
As far as the laziness, yes it's true! She's still a puppy so she has her hyper moments, but she is very lazy, and as I sai, snores alot (which I think is so cute!)
They have a very low tolerance for heat, so if it's too warm, they need to stay in air conditioning.
As far as price, that's the big downfall. We paid $2400.

Thanks so much. I have a low tolerance for heat too so the dog and I will get along just fine.

I think they are the cutest things. I told FI I want to get one and name it Harley

Thanks so much I will definatly pass this info onto him.
