Playstation bites me in the a$$

so remember when I dubbed myself the best wife ever for buying DH the new slimline version of Playstation 2 for his birthday? Well, make that the stupidest wife ever!!!!!

Yesterday morning (after I spent 2 hours cleaning our kitchen after he passed out post Halloween party on Saturday night) we decided we were going to do nothing all day but watch movies, turned on the DVD player and it just died. So he decides that he'll hook up his playstation. Don't turn it on, I say. He says, I've got to make sure it works. Okay, but that's it, I tell him.

He turns it on and there's a set up menu which you navigate using the controller - the thing OBVIOUSLY works!! So I tell him okay, it works. Of course he has to get out a game and put it in, all the while me telling him, you are not playing a game, you are not playing a game.

Anyway, didn't speak all day yesterday and around 5 or so, I get a text from him on my cell (I holed myself up in the bedroom all day, he was in the living room) saying he misses me. Yeah, whatever!!! Should have thought about that before you turned on the playstation.

Okay, let the I told you so's roll!!!!

Anyone want to buy a playstation cheap???

DH went through his Xbox phase (and I'm sure it was because I was doing so much wedding stuff) but he'd be in the playroom for HOURS. And then it kinda just stopped ...

Aw that sucks! My weekend consisted of me doing schoolwork at my computer in the living room while Brad sat on the couch playing MegaMan and some Star Wars game...all f'n weekend!!!

LOL!!! Ah, yes, Wendy, you did warn me, but my normally keen mind was clouded by thoughts of my overwhelming generosity and my dream to stand on that pedestal and receive my Bestest Wife Ever sash along with my crown and scepter...

Anyway, in his defense, he only played for 2 minutes, but I still found it extremely offensive seeing as I was sitting there waiting for us to spend the day together. He maintains he only had a total of 30 seconds playing time, so it doesn't really count. I said he shouldn't have turned it on in the first place.

*sigh* Oh, well, don't tell him this, but the Slimline version is actually kind of cute. Very small and very discreet...sort of like a portable tampon or something...

Poor Felicia, I was playing 'Kingdom Hearts' on PS2 all weekend and I made her sit with me to try and figure it out!

Ahhh!!!! I guess i have something to look forward too - I just bought FH Play Station 2 for his b-day - lucky me it hasnt come yet - I also wont let him play it until our coop is all fixed up -!

but still a bit better than him popping in one of the Star Wars movies again, I might add
