Re: Please answer tipping question...
not sure about the others, but for maitre'd are you supposed to tip 2-3 dollars per person at the reception??? Not 100% sure, I think I heard this a while ago...
We gave each limo driver $50 Maitre D - $700 Bridal Attendant - $100 band - $50 per member Flower Delivery - $25 each hair/makeup - 20%
That's all i can remember

Re: Please answer tipping question...
we gave maitre'd $3-4 per person at the reception (approx $600) since the entire night was perfect. we gave limo $80 (on top of the 20% already included) , officiant $50, DJ $150 because he was fabulous and very inexpensive, church organist $40, church singer $40, bus driver for out of town guests $100.

Re: Please answer tipping question...
I think it'll go like this:
Hair and MU- about 20% but the BM sister may do our hair and her rates are cheep so I may go over
Flower delivery- if I catch them- about 10-20 each
Limo- about 100 but maybe less- we have a limobus and will have 2-3 drivers to tip at the end of the night for the 14 pass vans if they can't send the bus back. Maybe I'll slip him a little more to make sure that he brings the bigger bus back (we have the 40 there- 30 for home if they don't have it booked)
Pastor- we'd like to give him about 100-200 more but we'll see
Organist- maybe 50? I forget what his fee is- we'll give at least 20% of that.
We also plan on trying to give an extra $100 or so to the church.
DJ- about 100 MC- about 150?
Matre'D- 2 per person- maybe 3 if they are good. that'll be about 500
Bridal attendant- about 100 depending.
Coat check person- don't know! getting tips from guests from all of the weddings there that evening...
Bathroom person- don't know! Same as coatroom person
We are going to have to figure out a tip for the staff at the Wingate Hotel- they are arranging so much for us!! They have been SO great so far!!
I think that's all for now- I feel like I left out someone! (WHEW!)

Re: Please answer tipping question...
Just as a word of advice... (I read this on here)
Leave your tip envelopes open...do not seal them. Some don't deserve the tip amount you originally plan on...some deserve more.
Our DJ's got their tip split in half...they shouldn't have even had that! Others...deserved more...and got more!

Re: Please answer tipping question...
We tipped the Matre'd $3 pp I did not tip the limo driver on top of the 20% I had to prepay - I didn't feel it was necessary. I tipped the DJ $100 I tried to tip the florist delivery guy - but he refused it, since he was one of the owners.

Re: Please answer tipping question...
Silly question: How are you supposed to tip the flower and cake delivery people if you are not there?
Do you leave it with someone at the hall?
