I was coming back from lunch today and my friend and I saw this woman SCREAMING at her guy. She was so loud it startled us. They were going back and forth at each other- people were staring in amazement.
The funny thing is, is that they were not even affected by all of this. This must be a normal occurence for them.
One thing I was taught- keep your business behind closed doors.
It was really appalling

OMG, I think that goes for any one in public.
Don't you feel uncomfortable when a couple you know argue in front of you? I have a friend - her and her fiancee argue in front of us about the most inappropriate things (she brings his mother into it, he talks about her friend doing that)
It's like, please, don't do this! If she tells me something in private fine, but when her FH is standing there, I am so embarrased for the both of them!

I hate when the public fight is people you know
I was in a beach house for a few summers and some of the couple fights in our house were doozies

It's one thing to express a feeling or something because you HAVE TO put a stop to a situation - but then either walk away and talk or wait until LATER! I don't want to hear my friends fh's mother has no class - especially in front of him! I cringe!

It is so funny you mention this, yesterday I was driving to work and saw this couple fighting in their car over a cell phone-they each kept grabbing it, and she was hitting him and screaming. This is while he was DRIVING. I could not believe it-then when my car was next to theirs at a light and I could hear them screaming through the closed windows of my car and theirs about a divorce. I guess my face looked like b/c when they saw me at least she stopped hitting him. I could not believe how low class it was.

Re: Please do not argue in public
We don't fight for real in public but, we do pretend fight. I think it started when we saw a drunk couple arguing in the street and found it sad (but amusing). Since then we will occasionally 'fake fight' just to see people's faces. What can I say we are both actors and love attention from people we don't know.

DH's brother and his girlfriend do this. It is so embarassing to be with them. The last straw was when we all had to take a family trip to CA and they fought in front of his entire family and their friends! It was horrible!!

Re: Please do not argue in public
hrmm I agree to a point.
Sometimes Jim just blows me off when im angry.. making me even more angry and then purposely puts us in public. Honey.. you want it kept behind doors then dont drag me to public. I don't have hissy fit but I do sternly (and sowhat coldly and calmly) tell him off in public. I dont make a spectacle and we usually end up forcing eachother to see the other's point of view. I think it's BECAUSE we're in public that we dont go off the edge. Neither of us WANT to make a scene but damn it.. we're both ticked off.
Im all for keeping it at home, if i could. But I also feel you got a problem then state it.. dont let it brew and boil and bring it up later after the fact. Just get it out there and move on. Don't hold a grudge just settle it.
You should NEVER scream though. If you can't speak calmly your opinions without spurting out nastiness then you need to calm down before opening your mouth.
Because once a cruel thing is said it can't be taken back, no matter how much you say you're sorry.

I have publicly fought with FH - I dont care either. We dont fight in front of our family or friends - usually there is no cause to.
But if he PO's me in public then you better belive i am gonna yell in public. i don't care what strangers think about us.

Thats too funny that you brought this up, I was in Macys today and there was a couple with 2 small children, the kids were acting up and the father was getting mad because the mother was'nt doing anything. He said something to her in a low voice and this woman started screaming 'F You, you F-in C sucker' I mean she was going off in front of her 2 small kids, then she takes her bags and throws them I couldnt believe the way she was acting, her husband calmy picked up his kids and walked out of macys, leaving this woman looking like an as$

I wouldn't get into a yelling match with DH anywhere but the car or the house. I think it's disrespectful and embarrassing.

I definetly have a temper but I control. As soon as we get into the house I go off not in public though. but then we are fine in like 2 seconds lol.
