Hi brides-to-be. I am new to the board and need lots of help looking for an atypical wedding site, vendors, accessories being relatively unfamiliar with the area. however, I've heard from newlywed co-workers that members of this website are merely polite and rarely tell it like it is. so I searched around and found few, if any, negative feedback regarding brides' choices even though I know there are PLENTY of bad wedding experiences and vendors out there. so tell me, am I going to find out the real stories here or is this merely a thinly disguised wedding support group. I really need someone to be my American Idol Simon and tell it like it is!!! Thank you; I appreciate any feedback.

We are all pretty honest here. If we don't like something, we will say it. Sometimes to avoid conflict we will discuss some problems in private with each other. I am getting married at Fox Hollow, recently one bride was not happy with them, and we discussed it privately to avoid any hard feelings among others.
Welcome aboard. If you decide to stay I think you will enjoy it here!

I definitely think people are honest here. Though you may not find their comments publicly posted, inside info is usually forum mailed to you as not to create a war on the boards. Good luck!

oh, thank you! I didn't even realize there was forum mail until you mentioned it. that's probably wise. I guess you don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, especially after a deposit has been made!

my wedding is next weekend & you bet i will tell it like it is...i am paying alot of money for these vendors & if they don't do what I expect & then some...watch out
