Please grant me this one serious topic, I'm a little shaken.
I completely glazed over the whole tornado in Florida thing today. Meanwhile, it demolished houses in The Villages, where we know at least 10 families. Including my sister's in laws.
I just got off the phone with my parents, who are directly east of where the tornado hit, on the coast. They travel around the country with their mobile home. Not very safe in a tornado! They had to evacuate and stayed with their friends who at least have a house with a foundation, although no basement because of the high water table.
Everyone we know is ok but they have a lot of property damage. We don't really know the extent yet, but thank God they're all alive and unharmed.
You just never think this kind of thing happens to anyone you actually know. You know? My parents had a scare last winter where they were in their mobile home and were basically outrunning a tornado in Alabama.
I really need to start paying more attention. Look at this. Holy crap:
