Please help

So today I was supposed to have my engagement pictures taken at COney Island. I booked this appt in the beg of the summer becasue it is hard to get the photographers when they are off. Plus I am a teacher and only have certain days off. I also had to pay a couple hundred extra to have them there. Well yesterday afternoon my FH calls me to tell me that the photographer just called and cancelled. I was so mad. What kind of professionalism is that. (Is he going to do that the day before my wedding) SO I had to call and cancel my hiar and my nails. My FH took a day off of work and he does not get paid when he takes off.
So my question is do I try and rebook these or do I ask them if I can change them to day after shoot. The reason we where taking our engagement pictures at coney island is becasue that was our first date. Well for our wedding pictures we originally wanted to go by the tree (Rockefeller center) but now I am starting to think aganist that idea becasue it is the friday before christmas so I am thinking of doing day afer shoots there.

What do you think should I stick with the engagement pictures or go for the day after shoots.

So confused....

PS_ Would it be wrong and have pictures taken at coney island next spring. Just for fun.

I think I would stick with Coney Island, its a great place to take pictures and it has sentimental value since it was your first day. I saw a couple of great pictures taken there.

Can you get your money back and hire someone else to do E-pics for you?

i think coney island is great. you've got all the fun rides as your backdrop (before they're gone) OR the boardwalk and the ocean. hmmmmm......which makes me want to take my pics there now :)

um. but yea, what was the excuse this photographer gave you. i would demand my money back for the E-shoot and get someone else. if its posible/what you want.

I thought they were tearing down most of Coney Island ? I thought I read an article about it.

Anyway, I would do the pics after the wedding. It seems that is when it may work out for you. I would also ask the photographer to see if he can take some money off of the price. If you were to cancel with him last minute, would he charge you a fee?? Plus, I would explain to him that your FH does't get paid for days off and it was a really big inconvenience for you both. See if he can do anyhrthing.
