I was hoping for some recommendations for wedding venues. I'm really starting to get discouraged and feel like I'll never find my rh. I found my perfect man now I need to find my perfect place. Here are the places I've seen already:
- flowerfields: beautiful just not exactly my style
- venetian yacht club and chateau la mer: LOVED the water aspect and the ballroom at VYC (especially the big glass window) but unfortunately the outside was smaller than I would have liked
- lombardis on the sound- didn't like how close the restaurant is to the ballroom and how there is the same entrance for both
-Giorgios- fell in LOVE w/ this place and was going to book but had a little mishap w/ them (in their defense they were very apologetic and tried to fix the issue but I can't help but think if i booked w/ them more issues may arise)
I hope I'm not being too picky!! I would really appreciate any/all recommendations. I'm starting to feel like i'm never going to find my venue :( So basically what I want is- somewhat large outside area, waterview would be great, not too many weddings at once and i guess i:m just looking for that ' wow' factor that giorgios had. Thanks for the help!!!

Re: Please Help
Do u have a budget you want to stick to? Do you want a beachy theme, formal, casual? One wedding at a time or doesn't matter? Nassau, suffolk? How many guests? What time of year? More details please!!

Don't stress out yet! You have plenty of time! FH and I did a lot of looking around as well. Each place had something that we weren't crazy about. When we walked into Chateau La Mer we just knew it was the place we were going to get married at. You will have the same experience. Try Lands End in Sayville. Its gorgeous and on the water with a lot of space indoor and outdoor. Good Luck! And remember that this is you wedding...enjoy alllll the planning!

Hi, your right... sorry I didn't realize how many details i left out!! Do u have a budget you want to stick to?- I would like to try to keep it under $125-130 a person (wouldn't mind cheaper ;) )
Do you want a beachy theme, formal, casual?- at first i had my heart set on beach theme and having the venue be on the water but i'm noticing that most venues on the water have a small outside area and it is pretty important to me to have a large nice outside area for cocktails hour and the ceremony
One wedding at a time or doesn't matter?- this doesn't really matter to me as long as i won't run into other brides or their parties...i guess it would be nice to be the only bride but not a game ender
Nassau, suffolk?- live in suffolk but i'm totally fine w/ getting arried is nassau How many guests?- 150-175 What time of year?- thinking sept 1 2013 so we can get the sun prices but every1 will still have off monday due to labor day
i'm pretty open minder so all suggestions are welcome :) Would love something a little unique if possible....somewhere ppl havent already gone to for weddings 100times

Booking m wedding at bridgeview was the best decision..people are still raving about the wedding and my whole experience was stress free because the staff is so helpful. If you decide to look there, book an appointment with Eric who is one of the two banquet managers there. He is the best

Hi! I'm booked at Giorgio's....I'm not sure what your mishap was but I can honestly say it has been an amazing experience and our wedding hasn't even taken place yet. I'm booked for September of next year. I'm working with Rob and whenever I have a question about ANYTHING he is there to answer, they are so attentive and I have nothing but 100% confidence that my wedding will meet and exceed all of my expectations. If you want to FM me to chat feel free! I'm here to help!

We booked Timber Point and are having a wonderful experience. It is a 1 wedding venue and prices are less then $100 a person before tax and gratuity. It has a beautiful view and the food is delish.

I don't know what happened at Giorgios but my brother got married there and it was one of the best weddings I've been to. If you love it and can get past what happened I say go for it. I don't think they will dissapoint the day of. I've always heard great things about the place. Good luck

Re: Please Help
Harbor Links - not water view but only 1 wedding at a time and a beautiful outdoor area. I think the Crescent beach club had a big outdoor area too, but it's been a while since I was there.

Re: Please Help
I second the Riviera which is located in Massapequa! I am getting married there next May and I wanted all of the things you mentioned.
I must have gone to 15 venues on the Island and when I walked into the Riviera I just knew this was the place. They have a huge outdoor patio for cocktail hour and a beautiful room for the reception.
Call and ask for Michelle, she is awesome and tell her Marlo sent you :)

Re: Please Help
Try West Sayville Country Club.
The prices are def under what your going for.
They are right on the water, and the Maritime Museum is right next door, so you can take some beachy pictures. You can even have your ceremony on the dock for an extra fee (over the ceremony fee which is $475). They also have a very nice sized outsized area, we're having our ceremony outside and cocktail hour will be inside and outside.
They are one wedding at a time. And Steve the catering manager is really helpful and AnneMarie, the matre d is also really nice as well.
They hold, up to around 200, but I think the minimum for a Sunday is between 75 and 150.
My date is Sept, 4th, 2011, so it's also the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and we weren't charged extra for that day. When we went to Timber Point they wanted an up charge for that day.
Also, FH and I did a tasting and picked out our menu a couple of weeks ago, and the food was really good. FH ate the salmon and he usually doesn't like fish at all.
