Please Help!! A Question About...

Tipping -

I've read all the past posts, but I am not clear on a few things...

The Hall:

Okay - I will get a Bridal Attendent and of course a Maitre 'd - so do you still do the $3.00 pp thing for the Md? what about the BA? Can the $ be split ?

Also - There is a huge variance on what I read about the Photographer and Video - I will have 2 Photo and 1 Video... what is a normal amount here... ? The tipping sites dont' seem to think these people should be tipped.

Lastly, the Limos... there is a 20% gratuity in my pricing... which is a pretty decent total ! Do I have to keep tipping??

Let me start with, this is my opinion and about what we'll be doing regarding these vendors.

BA and MD will get seperate tips. I was told I will have 2 BAs (b/c of the size of our party), so I figure $50 each. MD will get about $3/pp. Hall recommends 3-5/pp, but I am not Rockafeller and our minimum is 175, you do the math.

Photo/Video, as of now, we have 1 Photo and 1 Video, but may upgrade to 2 Photo. But, as of now, I will plan on giving 10% to each, after I receive the proofs. Just an FYI, according to many places, it's NOT customary to tip the person if they are the owner of the company.

Limos, I was told that the gratuity is included and all I have to do is tip the guy who'll be driving us home, b/c we're getting a limo, not a town car home and it's 'free'. The owner of the company we're using is great friends w/ FSIL's boyfriend, so we were upgraded on the ride home for free. We were told just to give like $40-45. I think we'll give $50. Other than that, not sure we'll tip the limo drivers (2) during the wedding.
