Re: Please HELP.... anyone know how to

There are LOTS of ways to do it, but here's how I did it:

Outside:

(married couple)

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
address

or

Dr. and Mrs. John Smith
address

Inside (we did ours sort of informal):

John and Sue

Anyone with a family, we put:

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Family
address

Inside: John, Sue, Mike, Anne

You get the drift...

Does that help?

i used this when i was addressing the envelopes. it was very helpful.

etd to say: we did ours in a formal manner.

For example, if the outer envelope was Mr. and Mrs. Joe doe, in the inner we wrote Mr. and Mrs. Doe.
etd again!

I did the same except for some close family. They got Aunt Mary and Uncle John or whatever on the inside.

I did all of mine MR. & Mrs. Last Name on the front, and only wrote on the inside envelopes of those I invited with guest

But, Grandmas I addressed the from: Grandma Last Name

Thats how I send EVERYTHING to her!

I think (but need to confirm) that when you use the first names on the inner envelope, the woman's name goes first. As in-

Jane and John Smith

If there are children it would be-
Jane and John Smith
Mary, Justin and Sara
(children's names indented)

My mom found a web site that went in to a LOT of detail. (I need to ask her about that so I can share it.)

(My invites did not have an inner envelope)

BUT- If you put the man's name first, I do not think that people will notice or care. I always thought that the man's name went first before I got in to all these wedding planning details.
