please help me calculate

If my alterations costs 400. How much does it cost with tax? and it's just alterations+tax right? no other charges? do you get charged for cups?

I did not get charged tax on my alterations but, I did get charged extra for cups, I think like $20. I had my alterations done at RK Bridal.

Usually they do not include the bustle either if that helps.

I was not charged tax on my alterations.

I had cups sewn into a dress for a wedding I was in (not my wedding dress) and I paid an extra $20.

I don't know if i'm paying tax but I do know that they have an addt'l charge for alteratoins and bustle. There is the standard bustle and then there is a french bustle which usually cost a little pit more. I would call the vendor and ask them to calculate it for you. That what they get paid to do. When I'm not sure of something I always call because then it leaves the ball in there court as far as correct pricing. Hope that helps.

sales tax?

$400 x 8.625% = $34.50 sales tax

Total of $434.50

I'm not sure about the cups.

I didn't have to pay sales tax but did have to pay for cups and bustle.

i know my place charges per bustle....just incase they didnt list it, i would ask.

Isn't there not supposed to be tax because alterations are considered a service?

I got an odd charge of 466.01 on my credit card bill. I emailed my contact at the store and i'm just waiting for the reply.

I can't figure out how it turned out to be 466.01... even with tax it doesnt add up. and I dont even have a bustle.... maybe it's the cups..
