Brooklyn, our 8 week old baby maltese, hates his crate. He is not moving to the bed untill he learns to control his BM's ( and I am not talking bridesmaids! ). I am just asking for one good nights sleep. I live in an apt...so no ignoring him. I tried putting a blanket over it. I moved him to a new room...he slept 4 hours. It's an imporvement. Any suggestions? TIA
Hi! We had the same problem. We kept Chewie crated at night for 3 weeks and got NO sleep. He would wake up and cry all night. We finally decided to give the bed a try. I didn't want to but it was the last choice. From the 1st day on he slept ALL night (even til 10am some days) w/ out ever having an accident or waking up. I can't say this will work for you but he in only 5 months and was good in the bed. Maybe try it.

Re: Please help me & FH sleep thru the night!!
OMG--Andrew looks so happy with Brooklyn, it's too cute! This might sound weird, but I've heard that if you wrap a warm water bottle in a towel with a clock, they like that because it's like a mother's heartbeat. Less scientific, and my personal method, is to take an old shirt or cloth and rub it on you and FH--leave this in the crate. It smells like the 2 of you, so Brooklyn might be less likely to miss you guys.
