I've been looking for over a year, I've contacted most of the authorized vendors but only a few have gotten back to me, telling me they don't carry that one.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!! I emailed marys yesterday telling them i was upset and they told me to call Ivan, so I left a message, he just called me back and we found TWO dresses in NY, one in brooklyn and the other at RK Bridal. So I called RK and they DO have it in!!!! Now I just need to find someone to go there with me....

I was just about to say they have this dress at RK! Then I read the posts and saw that you've discovered this already.
The dress is not on the racks, they usually hang it up right near where the measuring is done because it is SO POOFY!. Everytime I went to RK it was just hanging there by itself, so you won't have a problem finding it!

*UPDATE* I just called and I hate to say this but the women I spoke with did not seem to care about doing her job. She acted like I was bothering her trying to locate this dress. I just want to know if it is available anywhere on long island, in manhattan, the bronx, queens, or even anywhere in New jersey. She did not seem to want to help me, I was on the phone a whole TWO minutes! This breaks my heart as I LOVE this dress!
Have you tried Brooklyn stores like:
Valentina's Bridal - New Utrecht Ave & 76/77th Streets Doris Fashions - 18th Ave & 68th Street Lestans - Ralph Avenue
and so many more stores in Brooklyn.

none of my BMs can go. Two of them have young children with working husbands (work till 9:00p) one lives in another state
my mother told me I should bring my father, cause he grew up in the city and 'knows his way around' (like I don't??????????) I think that'd be weird. i don't know if it is THE dress yet.. not until I see myself in it. I always thought he'd see me the morning of. and my mother can't go because she has problems walking and as it is I'll be RUNNING! a friend of mine offered to meet me there, she works a few blocks away. but the train will be BORING alone.

I would suggest having someone else call (MOH, MOB, BM, etc) and see if they can call the designer and find out for you. If not, continue looking. I got my dress at the Wedding Plaza in Floral Park and they are VERY helpful. Also, if you find something that has the right top but it's puffy enough, you can add puffy slips under the dress. they tried that on mine but I don't want too big. Just a thought!

CONGRATS!!! Glad you found the dress! And at this point, grab someone standing outside the store and bring them with you if you can't find someone to go (which I'm sure you will)! Let us know if you get it! Good luck!
